Scope of Works

• survey garden and identify weed species and areas of infestation

• remove surface weeds by hand or with tools from beds, borders and paving

• treat persistent weeds with approved herbicide if requested and safe for nearby plants and pets

• clear and bag green waste for disposal or composting; leave larger waste for collection if arranged

• spot-treat joint weeds in paving and pathways and advise on re-sanding where required

• wear PPE and follow contamination controls for chemical treatments

Most garden weeding visits take 1–4 hours depending on garden size and weed density; larger or very overgrown areas may need repeat visits or longer sessions

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you use herbicides and which products will you apply

• are you insured for property and public liability and can you supply a certificate

• how do you dispose of removed weeds and is green waste included in the price

• do you provide a written quote and what is your call-out or minimum charge

• can you protect desirable plants and hard surfaces during treatment

• will you need repeat visits and do you guarantee control or offer follow-up treatment

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear gates, paths and flowerbeds of toys and pots to allow access

• ensure on-street parking or provide a driveway space if tools or a small skip are needed

• advise about water taps available for cleaning and rinsing equipment

• keep dogs and children indoors during chemical treatments and until surfaces are dry

• tell the tradie about ponds, bee hives or protected plants before work starts

• agree a plan for waste removal or composting and check council rules for garden waste
