Scope of Works

• Inspect lawn for hazards, slopes and obstacles

• Mow grass to an agreed height using appropriate equipment

• Edge borders, paths and driveways using a trimmer or edger

• Strim around fences, beds, trees and garden furniture

• Clear and collect or blow clippings from patios and paths as agreed

• Report any issues such as bare patches, moss, drainage or pest damage

Most small residential lawns take 30–60 minutes; medium or overgrown lawns take 1–3 hours

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you include clippings removal or will you leave mowings on the lawn

• What equipment will you bring and is ride-on hire extra

• Do you charge for long or tussocky grass and how is that calculated

• Are you insured and can you provide a policy or reference

• Will you treat moss or weeds and are chemicals quoted separately

• How do you handle access, parking and payment terms

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear toys, plant pots and obstacles from the lawn before arrival

• Tell the tradie about steep slopes, drainage covers and hidden hazards

• Remove or point out pet waste for health and PPE reasons

• Provide access details and parking instructions for the operative

• Agree beforehand whether clippings are left, mulched or removed
