Scope of Works

• survey room and check wall construction and services behind the fix area

• prepare and clean walls, fill small cracks and mark panel layout

• install panels using adhesive and/or mechanical fixings suited to substrate

• fit acoustic insulation backing where specified and cut panels to size

• trim edges, seal joints and fit finish profiles

• clean up, remove waste and leave room ready; use PPE and dust control if cutting on site

Most single-wall installations take 1–3 hours; full-room fits typically take 3–8 hours. Factors that extend time include poor access, extensive wall repairs, cutting panels on site, working at height and adhesive curing time

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• have you installed this panel system before and can you show recent photos

• which fixing method will you use and is it suitable for my wall substrate

• are the panels and fixings fire-rated and do you provide documentation

• will you need to cut panels on site and how will you control dust and noise

• what guarantee do you provide for work and materials

• do you need access to electrics, moved furniture or temporary power

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear working area and remove pictures and fragile items

• provide clear access and park where the van can be loaded close to the property

• tell the tradie about hidden services, plasterboard or damp that may affect fixing

• agree working-at-height arrangements and scaffolding or tower if needed

• confirm waste disposal plans and whether skips or additional charges apply
