Mirror Mounting Guide

Scope of Works

• Survey & mark‑up wall, locate studs/pipes and confirm mirror weight.

• Supply heavy‑duty fixings matched to plasterboard, masonry or tiled surfaces.

• Drill, plug and screw brackets or French cleat; use dust extraction to protect décor.

• Lift, level & secure the mirror; add safety tether where needed.

• Clean glass, wipe wall and vacuum drilling dust.

• Optional add‑ons – LED back‑lighting, patching old holes, stair‑void access.

Time on Site

• Typical: 30 – 60 minutes for ground‑floor stud or brick wall.

• Up to 2 hours: tiled surfaces, hidden services, large/heavy mirrors needing two operatives.

• Half‑day: high stairwell installs or multiple mirrors in one visit.

1. Which fixings will you use for my wall type and mirror weight?

2. Do you bring a laser level to guarantee perfect alignment?

3. Is a two‑person lift included if the mirror exceeds 15 kg?

4. How will you check for pipes and cables before drilling?

5. Will you make good and repaint any exposed old holes?

6. What warranty covers fixings against pull‑out or loosening?

7. Are you fully insured for accidental glass breakage and wall damage?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Send photos & dimensions of the mirror and wall so the handyman brings correct anchors.

• Clear furniture and protect flooring with dust sheets before arrival.

• Mark centre‑line height with painter’s tape to show the exact position you want.

• Reserve parking close to the door for carrying fragile glass.

• Confirm wall construction (dot‑and‑dab, stud, solid brick) to avoid a second visit.

• Check weight limits of plasterboard – oversize mirrors may need a cleat fixed into studs.
