Scope of Works

• Remove leaves, garden rubbish and general debris from lawns, borders and hard surfaces

• Mow, edge and strim grass where agreed

• Prune shrubs, trim low hedges and cut back overgrowth to agreed levels

• Remove small branches and brush, chip or bag arisings and load into van or agreed bin

• Treat moss and weeds on patios and paths where requested and clear debris from drains and grates

• Assess larger tree work or invasive species and advise on extra costs; operatives use PPE for safe handling

Most small garden clear-ups take 1–3 hours; a medium garden or heavier tidy typically takes 3–6 hours; very overgrown gardens or jobs requiring machinery can take 1–2 days. Factors that extend time include amount of waste, difficult access, need for extra crew or specialist machinery, tree work or poor weather

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Are you insured (public liability) and can you supply a certificate

• How will green waste be disposed of and are disposal charges included

• Do you charge a call-out fee or minimum and is VAT included in the quote

• What exactly is included in the job and will extra work be quoted separately

• Will you bring necessary tools and machinery and do you need a water or electricity supply

• Do you have a waste carrier registration for large removals and can you show it

How to Avoid Surprises

• Ensure clear access to the garden and measure gate widths if machinery may be needed

• Book parking or leave space for the van/skip near the property

• Move vehicles, bikes and fragile items and keep pets indoors on the day

• Point out buried services, water irrigation points and any fragile paving or flower beds

• Agree in writing who removes green waste, where it will be left and the accepted payment method
