Scope of Works

• Cut grass to an agreed height using a rotary or cylinder mower

• Trim edges and around paths using a strimmer

• Collect and bag or blow clippings from paths and patios

• Remove garden waste to your green waste bin or take off site for a fee

• Inspect lawn for moss, bare patches or hazards and advise on repairs

• Leave mower tracks tidy and report any access or safety issues

Most domestic lawns take 20 minutes–1 hour; larger lawns, overgrown grass or extra tasks such as hedging and waste removal typically take 1–3 hours. Factors that extend time include very long grass, slopes, narrow access, gates and adverse weather

• Do you include green waste removal in the quoted price

• What height will you cut to and can I choose a finish

• Do you bring your own mower and equipment and are they insured for my property

• How do you charge for overgrown lawns or additional services such as strimming and hedging

• Can you confirm public liability insurance and provide references or photos of similar jobs

• What payment methods do you accept and when is payment due

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear gates and paths and move furniture where practical to speed up the job

• Tell the tradie about narrow access, steep slopes or steps before they arrive

• Arrange parking nearby or confirm where the van can park to avoid delays and extra charges

• Secure pets and let the team know about communal rules, estate restrictions or locked gates

• Decide in advance whether you want clippings left as mulch or removed and confirm any extra disposal fees
