Scope of Works

• Confirm TV make, model, VESA pattern and weight limit of the chosen bracket

• survey wall type (plasterboard with studs, masonry, block or concrete) and mark suitable fixing points

• supply and fit appropriate bracket and fixings for the wall type

• lift and attach TV to bracket, check level and secure safety screws (two‑person lift for heavy screens)

• test connections and set out cable routing options (surface trunking, in‑wall conduit quoted separately)

• tidy area, remove packaging and provide a brief handover of the installation and any limitations

Typical domestic wall mounts take 1–3 hours on site; straightforward stud‑wall jobs 1–1.5 hours, installations needing in‑wall cable runs, large screens or working at height 3–6 hours

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Are you insured (public liability) and can you show a current certificate

• Have you mounted screens of this size and weight recently and can you provide references or photos

• What fixings will you use for my wall type and will you show the parts before fitting

• Can you conceal cables in‑wall and if so will that require an electrician or building‑reg compliance

• Will you provide a two‑person lift for large/heavy screens and is that included in the price

• How do you check for hidden services (wiring/plumbing) and what happens if one is found

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear the room and provide a safe place for the TV before the lift

• share the TV make/model and wall construction with the tradie beforehand

• ensure access to a nearby power socket or arrange an electrician if a new in‑wall power is needed

• confirm parking and safe ladder/scaffold space; inform concierge or neighbours for flats

• secure pets and remove fragile items and pictures from the install area

• check leasehold or communal rules for drilling through party or external walls
