Scope of Works

• Confirm proof of ownership/tenancy and photo‑ID before starting.

• Inspect door, frame and lock to decide on non‑destructive or destructive entry.

• Use picks, bypass tools or air‑wedges to regain entry where possible.

• If required, drill out the cylinder and fit a like‑for‑like replacement (BS 3621 where insurance demands).

• Key‑cut or re‑pin new cylinder and supply at least two new keys.

• Check door alignment, latch throw and secure screws/striker plate.

• Provide written job sheet and recommendations for future security upgrades.

Time on Site

30 – 120 minutes for a single exterior door. Extended if: multiple locks, specialist high‑security cylinders, severe frame damage, or keys must be cut on‑site.

How to Avoid Surprises

• Confirm safe, legal access to communal areas or gated drives.

• Reserve a parking space near the door (van-sized).

• Send clear photos of the lock to the locksmith in advance.
