Scope of Works

• wash external glass using a water‑fed pole or ladder where safe

• remove bird droppings, cobwebs and surface grime from frames and sills

• clean window tracks and reveals where accessible without dismantling

• use deionised/rinse water to reduce streaking and for a final rinse

• assess access and recommend MEWP, scaffold or rope access for high or unsafe windows

• protect nearby plants, fascias and decking; use PPE and safe waste handling for droppings

Typical domestic external cleans take 30 minutes–2 hours depending on number of windows and storeys; terraces and bungalows commonly 30–60 minutes, 2–3 storeys or where MEWP/scaffold is needed can take 2–4 hours or longer

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you have public liability insurance and can you provide a certificate

• how will you access upper windows will you use poles ladders mewp or rope access

• is the quote per visit per window or per hour and what does the call‑out cover

• do you use deionised water and eco‑friendly detergents and will this reduce streaking

• are there extra charges for heavy deposits paint resin or bird‑soiled glass

• will you protect plants decking and surfaces and how will you dispose of waste water

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure safe, unobstructed access to windows and clear driveway parking if possible

• secure or move pets and remove fragile items from window sills

• tell the tradie about restricted estate rules parking permits or neighbours’ access needs

• confirm whether mains water is needed or if the team will use their tanked supply

• ask for a written quote that lists access hire charges and any additional fees
