Scope of Works

• Pre‑visit survey & measure‑up – confirm niche size, hinge side and power socket position.

• Disconnect & remove old appliance (if any) and safely isolate electrics/water if plumb‑in model.

• Position new unit, level on adjustable feet and set correct ventilation gaps.

• Fix cabinet door to fridge with slider or hinge kit; align reveals for a flush look.

• Secure cabinetry & fit trim strips, seal service hole grommets, test door swing and magnetic seal.

• Run‑up & performance check (temperature, light, alarm) and supply waste‑transfer note for the old unit.

Time on Site

• Typical: 1 – 3 hours for a straightforward swap with existing housing.

• Longer (½‑day): door reversal, tight access, plumb‑in water line or hard flooring to cut around.

• Full‑day+: new cabinet build, electrical spur relocation, or multiple appliances in one visit.

  
  

Questions to Ask Your Trade

1. Will you level and ventilate the fridge to the manufacturer’s spec (front‑to‑rear gap, grille cut‑outs)?

2. What happens if the cabinet door doesn’t align – is minor carpentry included?

3. Do you supply the slider/hinge kit, and is it compatible with my door thickness?

4. Is recycling of the old fridge included and covered by a waste‑transfer note?

5. What warranty do you give on workmanship and any parts you supply?

6. How will you protect my flooring and worktops while manoeuvring the appliance?

7. Are follow‑up call‑outs free if the door drops or the seal leaks within 30 days?

   
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear access & parking: leave a route wide enough for a 600 mm base unit and remove plinth sections.

• Power & water ready: free socket within 1 m; isolate any mains water feed in advance.

• Measure the new appliance – depth with plug and door thickness to ensure full door swing.

• Vent kit & grille: order in good time if your kitchen brand uses bespoke parts.

• Check flooring height: thick tiles or underlay can raise appliance above cabinet carcase.

• Neighbour notice: in flats, book the lift and protect communal corridors for large‑box delivery.
