• protect floors and doorways with covers and use PPE for manual handling

• load components into vehicle and take to disposal or agreed storage

• clear and sweep the work area and leave reusable parts neatly stacked if requested

Most bunk bed removals take 1–3 hours on site depending on access, whether full dismantle/reassembly is required and stair width; narrow stairwells, tight doorways or waiting for parking can extend the job.

• do you include dismantle and reassembly in the quoted price

• are you insured for damage and public liability and can you show certificates

• does the price include disposal and any bulky waste charges

• how many operatives and what vehicle will you bring for a safe lift

• will you protect floors and door frames and is that included

• are there extra charges for stairs, narrow access or late cancellation

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear a route to the bed and remove obstacles from hallways and stair landings

• measure narrow doors and stair widths and tell the tradie before they arrive

• reserve parking or check for permit restrictions near the property

• secure pets and move fragile items away from the work area

• confirm disposal arrangements and any extra charges for bulky waste
