Time on Site

20–40 minutes loading at collection point, similar time to unload and position.

• Journey time varies by distance; allow +15 min per flight of stairs for heavy, awkward pieces.Delays arise from narrow hallways, parking restrictions or goods‑lift bookings.

Questions to Ask Your Trade

  1. Do you provide two‑person crews and is lifting insurance included?

  2. Is the quote fixed or does it change for traffic delays or extra flights of stairs?

  3. Will you assemble minor parts (legs, knobs) and is that costed in?

  4. Can you dispose of packaging or old furniture, and what are the fees?

  5. How is damage liability handled—are goods insured from door‑to‑door?

  6. What vehicle size will attend and will it fit my street’s height/weight limits?

  7. Do you supply protection blankets & floor runners for interior delivery?

How to Avoid Surprises

Measure doorways, stairs & lifts before booking; send photos for awkward corners.

Reserve parking or arrange a permit directly outside the entrance.

Confirm access times with building management—goods‑lifts may need booking.

Protect carpets & walls with sheets ahead of arrival.

Keep hallways clear and have payment ready to avoid over‑time charges.
