Scope of Works

• Inspect dresser on arrival to assess size, weight and access

• Protect floor and surrounding furniture with covers and runners

• Remove drawers and loose fittings and label or bag small parts

• Partially disassemble the dresser if required to pass doors or stairs

• Carry and load dresser into the vehicle using appropriate lifting aids and two movers where needed

• Transport, store or return the dresser and reassemble, replace drawers and position as requested

• Secure and tape any loose fronts or glass for transit

Most single-dresser removals take 1–2 hours on site for the initial move and 30–90 minutes for the return visit; time increases with narrow stairs, disassembly or long carries to the vehicle

• Are you insured for household removals and public liability?

• How many movers and what vehicle will you bring for this dresser?

• Do you need me to empty drawers and remove ornaments before you arrive?

• Will you disassemble and reassemble the dresser and is that included in the price?

• What happens if you find damage or it won’t fit through the route provided?

• Do you offer short-term storage and what are the costs if I need it?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear access routes and measure doors, hallways and stair widths

• Reserve parking or confirm permit arrangements near the entrance

• Remove or secure fragile items and valuables before the crew arrives

• Tell the tradie about tight corners, low ceilings or uneven steps in advance

• Agree where the dresser will be stored or placed on return and confirm time window
