Scope of Works

• Survey items and access on arrival, confirm sizes and route

• Protect floors, doorways and lifts with coverings and corner protectors

• Dismantle large items where needed and label parts for reassembly

• Wrap and pad furniture, secure with straps and use trolleys for heavy items

• Carry, load and unload items between property and van and place in requested rooms

• Remove or dispose of small items or unwanted furniture if agreed (additional charge)

Most single‑item or flat‑to‑flat moves take 1–3 hours; small house moves typically take 3–6 hours. Factors that extend time include stairs or narrow access, dismantling and reassembly, long carries from parking and waiting for lift availability

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• How many movers and what size vehicle will you provide for my job

• Do you include insurance for loss or damage and what is the excess

• Will dismantling and reassembly be done and is that covered in the quoted price

• What additional charges might apply (parking fines, long carry, stair carry) and how are they calculated

• Can you provide a written estimate and does it include the call‑out/minimum charge

• How do you manage fragile or high‑value items and will you use special packing on request

How to Avoid Surprises

• Measure large items and doorways and share dimensions with the mover beforehand

• Reserve parking or a loading bay near the property and inform the team of any permits needed

• Clear access routes, remove loose rugs and secure pets before the crew arrives

• Agree in writing which materials and services are included and what incurs extra charges

• Check building rules for lift booking times, access hours or fire exit restrictions and tell the mover
