Scope of Works

• collect vehicle and paperwork from the agreed pickup point

• load vehicle onto a flatbed or enclosed transporter and secure with straps and wheel chocks

• carry out a condition check and photographic record at collection and delivery

• transport to destination and unload into agreed parking or handover area

• manage non-running vehicles, use drip trays for leaks and wear PPE where contamination risk exists

Typical collection and handover on site takes 1–3 hours including checks and securing; complex jobs (immobilised vehicles, crane lifts or multi-vehicle loads) can take 3–6 hours. travel time between sites is charged separately and adverse weather or restricted access can extend the on-site time

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• what insurance do you carry and what does it cover for loss or damage?

• do you handle non-running cars and are there extra charges for recovery equipment?

• what is included in the price and which extras might I be charged for?

• how will you secure and protect the vehicle during transit?

• do you need keys, V5 or other documents at collection?

• can you provide a delivery ETA and tracking or proof of delivery?

How to Avoid Surprises

• confirm a clear pickup and delivery spot with suitable vehicle access

• check parking or loading bay permits and allow space for a transporter

• tell the tradie about immobility, low ride height, heavy modifications or fluid leaks before booking

• have keys and ownership documents ready and remove personal items from the car

• confirm insurance excesses and any requirements for protective covers or specialist equipment
