Scope of Works

• Survey location and measure window, door or wall for exhaust routing

• check electrical supply and advise if a dedicated circuit or RCD is needed

• fit supplied window kit or install ducting and secure wall sleeve where agreed

• install condensate drain or small pump if gravity drainage is not possible

• test unit operation, airflow and safety devices and demonstrate basic controls

• remove installation debris and dispose of packaging unless otherwise arranged

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you provide the window kit or should i supply the portable unit and kit

• will you need to drill an external wall and do you have consent for core drilling if required

• do you test the electrical circuit and will you charge extra for new wiring or an rcd

• do you fit a condensate pump if gravity drainage is not possible and what is the cost

• what guarantee do you provide on labour and parts and are any parts manufacturer warranty excluded

• do you carry ppe and waste bags and how will you protect floors and furniture during the work

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure a clear space by the window or wall and move furniture out of the way

• provide access to a 13a socket close to the installation or discuss a temporary extension lead

• arrange parking close to the property for easy unloading of the unit and kits

• check building or leasehold rules before drilling external walls or installing permanent sleeves

• secure pets and warn neighbours if work will be noisy or require external access
