Scope of Works

• Inspect and diagnose electrical and control faults in the oven cavity and wiring

• Test heating elements and replace faulty elements

• Check thermostat, temperature sensors and control board and replace or reprogramme where needed

• Inspect fan motor, door seals and hinges and replace minor components

• Remove built‑in oven from carcass if required and isolate the mains supply before work

• Run electrical safety checks, test cooking cycles and provide a written quote for any further repairs

Most visits take 30 minutes–3 hours depending on the fault; simple element swaps and diagnostics 30–60 minutes, fan or thermostat replacements 1–2 hours, control board or cavity repairs 2–3 hours, and parts that must be ordered add extra days for return visits

• Do you have experience with my oven make and model and can you show examples

• Do you charge a call‑out fee and how are labour and parts billed

• Will you isolate the electrical supply and do you need access to the consumer unit

• What warranty do you provide on parts and labour and who supplies replacement parts

• Are you insured for appliance repair and can you provide a written estimate before starting work

How to Avoid Surprises

• Empty the oven and surrounding cupboards so the engineer can work unhindered

• Ensure a parking space near the property and tell the tradie about any access restrictions

• Send make, model and photos in advance so the engineer can bring likely spare parts

• Confirm you can switch off the circuit at the consumer unit if isolation is needed

• Secure pets and keep children away from the work area

• Check communal building rules if access, parking or lifts will be used for tools or parts
