Step-by-Step

1. Acclimatise laminate boards in the room for at least 48 hours to adjust to temperature and humidity levels.

2. Prepare the sub-floor by cleaning, levelling and fitting the underlay to provide moisture control and sound insulation.

3. Dry lay the first row against a straight wall, ensuring to leave the recommended expansion gap.

4. Begin clicking the boards together, utilising a tapping block to secure a snug fit without damaging the planks.

5. Continue laying subsequent rows; stagger the joints for improved stability and appearance.

6. Trim boards around door frames and other obstacles using a laminate cutter or jigsaw.

7. Install skirting boards or quarter-round mouldings to conceal expansion gaps and complete the look.

• All boards interlock firmly with no visible gaps or misalignments.

• The expansion gap is maintained along walls and around fixtures.

• The sub-floor is smooth and free of debris, ensuring lasting stability.

• Final clean-up has been conducted and all off-cuts safely disposed of.
