Scope of Works

• Inspect table frame, fittings and support to confirm suitability for a new glass top

• measure and template existing top or take dimensions for a bespoke cut

• remove and safely bag or crate broken glass using appropriate PPE

• supply and fit toughened/tempered glass cut to size with polished edges

• fit edging strips, pads or new fixings and check alignment and stability

• carry out a final safety check and leave the area clean

Typically 1–3 hours on site for removal and fitting of a pre-cut top; allow longer if a bespoke panel needs measuring and off-site cutting or if access is restricted

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you supply toughened/tempered and edge-polished glass as standard

• Can you work to my measurements or will you measure on site before ordering

• Are removal and disposal of existing glass included in the quote

• What protection do you use for furniture and flooring during work

• How long between measuring and installation for bespoke glass

• Do you carry public liability insurance and can you provide references for similar jobs

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear a route to the table and check door and stair widths for large panels

• reserve nearby parking for the fitter's van where possible

• secure pets and small children away from the work area

• tell the tradie about any loose joints or fragile finishes on the table

• check lead times for bespoke glass before booking an installation date
