Scope of Works

• Inspect & diagnose damage (chip, burn, crack, joint failure) and match material/colour.

• Isolate services & protect area — cover adjacent cupboards, mask splashbacks.

• Prepare surface by cleaning, keying and removing loose laminate/stone.

• Fill or resin‑weld with colour‑matched compound; cure under heat lamp or UV.

• Sand, texture & polish to blend repair flush with surrounding worktop.

• Seal joints or re‑silicone if water ingress is found.

• Tidy up & issue care sheet, dispose of off‑cuts/consumables responsibly.

• Typical: 1 – 3 hours for one chip or joint re‑seal.

• Half‑day: multiple repairs, heavy limescale removal or difficult colour‑match.

• Full day+: large resin inlays, corner rebuilds, sink/hob removal or extensive polishing.

1. What material‑matching system do you use for my laminate/stone?

2. Is the quote fixed or hourly after the first repair?

3. How long before the area can be used (cure time for resins)?

4. What warranty covers colour fade and joint integrity?

5. Can you provide before‑and‑after photos of similar repairs?

6. Will you re‑seal sinks or hobs if silicone is disturbed—and is that extra?

7. Are you insured for accidental damage to adjacent cabinets or appliances?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear worktops & cabinets so the technician can reach the damage quickly.

• Send close‑up photos in advance to ensure correct colour pigments are stocked.

• Reserve parking near the door for the van’s compressor and heat lamps.

• Ventilate the room (windows/extractor) to disperse resin odours.

• Check power outlets for sanders and curing lamps within 5 m of the repair.

• Confirm skip or recycling if any large worktop sections will be cut out.
