Scope of Works

• remove existing shower door, frame, seals and safely remove glass

• measure opening, check walls, tray and studs for rot or leaks

• fit new door and frame (sliding, hinged or bi-fold) and fix to tiles or panels

• adjust rollers, hinges and seals for correct alignment and smooth operation

• apply silicone seals where required and advise on cure time

• final inspection, demonstrate operation and clear site of waste

Most replacements take 1–4 hours on site depending on door type and access; frameless glass or jobs that need tile repairs can take a day or require a return visit. allow extra time for silicone to be applied and cured and for any structural checks. tradespeople will use PPE and protect floors

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• can you supply and fit this specific door model, and what warranty do you provide?

• are you a glazing installer and do you carry public liability insurance and relevant certifications?

• will you need to remove tiles or alter the tray and how will remedial work be charged?

• how long will the job take, will you need to return for sealant checks, and what cure time do you recommend?

• how will you dispose of old glass and is there an extra charge for removal?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear toiletries, towels and loose items and provide unobstructed access to the bathroom

• confirm parking or permit availability close to the property for a van

• tell the tradie about any prior water damage or loose tiles so they can quote realistically

• protect floors and surrounding fittings and allow sealant cure time before use

• keep pets and children away during fitting and drying to avoid accidents
