Questions to Ask Your Tradie

  1. Do you carry stock for my blind brand so the repair is completed in one visit?

  2. Will you install child-safety devices (chain breakers/tensioners) to current standards?

  3. Can you colour-match replacement slats or cords to my existing blind?

  4. What warranty covers parts and workmanship?

  5. Is the call-out fee credited if extra time is required?

  6. Do you charge extra for high-level or awkward bay-window access?

  7. Will you demonstrate safe operation and leave care instructions before you leave?

How to Avoid Surprises

  • Access & Parking: Reserve a space near the property for the van.

  • Clear Window Sills: Remove ornaments and open curtains fully to speed removal.

  • Measurements: Note blind width and drop; oversized units may need two people.

  • Power Supply: Advise if the blind is motorised and ensure a nearby socket for testing.

  • Spare Parts: Provide any leftover slats or cord off-cuts for perfect colour matching.

  • Pets & Children: Keep away from ladders, small parts and chains during the repair.
