Scope of Works

• measure window and check wall or reveal for fixings

• recommend track or pole type and confirm finishes

• supply and cut tracks or poles to size and fit brackets

• mark and drill fixings, plug into masonry or timber studs as required

• fit gliders, rings or runners and test curtain movement

• tidy site, remove packaging and, if agreed, take away old fittings for disposal

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you supply materials and take old fittings away or will i need to provide them

• do you have experience with high ceilings or sash windows and what access equipment will you use

• what guarantee do you provide for labour and supplied fittings

• will you check for studs or hidden services and how will you fix into masonry or plasterboard

• how do you protect floors and furniture and will you tidy and dispose of packaging

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear furniture and curtains from the work area and protect floors

• confirm parking or drop-off space for materials and tools

• tell the tradie about high ceilings, restricted access or communal/lift restrictions beforehand

• confirm who supplies parts, finishes and any extra charges for bespoke items

• secure pets and note any building or estate rules for access or working-at-height equipment
