Scope of Works

• Pre‑inspection – identify fibre type, stains and traffic lanes; measure areas to confirm price.

• Move light furniture and protect skirtings with corner guards or foil tabs.

• Vacuum and pre‑treat spots with enzyme or solvent stain‑remover.

• Hot‑water extraction (steam) or low‑moisture encapsulation clean carpets, agitating solution to lift soil.

• Rinse‑extract with neutraliser to remove residues and balance pH.

• Groom pile and speed‑dry with air‑movers; place foil tabs under legs.

• Issue a post‑clean report with drying advice and optional stain‑guard quotation.

Time on Site

A full clean of a standard three‑bed property takes 2 – 3 hours, plus 2 – 4 hours drying with ventilation.Extra time is needed for pet‑stain treatments, stair carpets, large furniture moves or deodorising/anti‑microbial add‑ons.

1. What cleaning method will you use and why is it best for my carpet fibre?

2. Is the quoted price fully inclusive of VAT, pre‑treatments and moving furniture?

3. Are you NCCA‑ or IICRC‑certified and insured against shrinkage or colour‑bleed?

4. How long will the carpets take to dry and be safe for children/pets?

5. Do you offer an optional stain‑guard, and what is its realistic lifespan?

6. Will you apply pet‑safe, low‑VOC products, and can I see the data sheets?

7. What after‑care advice do you provide if a drink is spilt before the next clean?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Reserve driveway or kerb space for the van – hoses often stay connected to the truck‑mount.

• Vacuum and pick up toys, cables and breakables so the technician can work efficiently.

• Note stubborn stains (wine, ink, pet accidents) when booking so the right chemicals are stocked.

• Confirm power and hot‑water access are available, or request a self‑contained machine.

• Ask for a written, itemised quote (inc. VAT) covering minimum charge, rooms, extras and re‑clean policy.
