Scope of Works

• Inspect the stained area and identify carpet fibre, backing and underlay condition

• pre-test suitable cleaning products on a hidden area to confirm colourfastness

• treat the stain with appropriate professional cleaners and extraction equipment where safe to do so

• apply deodoriser or protective finish if requested and advise on drying time

• remove and dispose of used materials and contaminated cloths; follow PPE and contamination handling where relevant

• report if stain is permanent or if re‑lining/replacement is recommended

Most single‑stain visits take 30 minutes–1 hour; larger or set‑in stains, multiple rooms or stairs can extend this to 2–4 hours including drying time and inspections

• how long will the area take to dry and when can it be used again?

• what is included in the price and what might be charged as an extra?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear the area of small furniture and fragile items

• point out the exact stains and any historic repairs or colour variations

• advise the tradie of pets, children or health sensitivities before they arrive

• check parking or access restrictions and tell the tradesperson if stairs or narrow halls will be used

• confirm permission if you rent or live in a managed building and ask about any required test patch
