Scope of Works

• Diagnose leak, stiffness or temperature‑control fault; isolate water and strip the tap.

• Replace worn washers, O‑rings or ceramic cartridges, test for smooth quarter‑turn action.

• If accessibility is required, swap the body for a lever‑handle tap or fit ergonomic extensions.

• Install optional thermostatic mixing valve or anti‑scald inserts to keep outlet below 44 °C.

• Add/upgrade isolation valves for easy future maintenance, reinstate pipe lagging.

• Re‑seal tap base with silicone or plumber’s putty, flush debris, balance hot/cold flow.

• Demonstrate one‑finger operation, leave written care instructions, remove old parts for recycling.

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear under‑sink storage so the plumber can reach pipework quickly.

• Confirm parking within hose‑length of the property, especially if you’re in a permit zone.

• Tell the trade about any mobility aids or grab‑rails that limit access around the sink.

• Check the building schedule for water‑shut‑off windows if you’re in a flat.

• Keep pets and children away; hot water may be run off during testing.
