• Remove or isolate heavily infested food and advise on disposal

• Apply targeted treatments to adult and breeding hotspots using appropriate PPE

• Treat drains and bin areas with specialist drain products where necessary

• Provide written findings, hygiene recommendations and a follow‑up visit 7–14 days later

Most inspections and single‑visit treatments take 1–3 hours depending on infestation size and access; larger or drain‑related problems can take a half day or require a follow‑up visit

• How will you identify the breeding source and can you show me evidence?

• What treatment methods will you use and are they safe around children and pets?

• Do you need to access drains, communal areas or neighbours and will you need permissions?

• What follow‑up is included and do you offer a service guarantee?

• What waste will you remove and are there extra disposal charges?

• How do you prevent cross‑contamination between rooms and do you use PPE?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear ripe fruit and food waste and secure bins before the visit

• Provide access to kitchens, utility rooms and any external bin or drain areas

• Reserve parking close to the property for a van and advise of restricted access

• Secure or remove pets and tell the tradie about any allergies to chemicals

• Check communal rules or permits for external traps, loft access or shared drains
