Scope of Works

• confirm species and nest location (eaves, loft, shed, or ground)

• apply appropriate insecticidal dust or spray to nest entrance following safety protocols

• remove and bag the nest where safe to do so, or mark for later removal if treatment requires delay

• seal obvious entry points and advise on prevention measures

• remove contaminated materials and dispose of waste in labelled bags

• wear PPE and follow contamination control; advise household on re-entry times for indoor jobs

Most domestic wasp nest treatments take 30–90 minutes depending on location and access; high roofs or nests inside cavities can extend to a half day if scaffolding or follow-up visits are needed

• will I need to vacate rooms or keep windows closed after treatment and for how long?

• will you need access to lofts, roof voids or neighbours' property?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear safe access and point out exact nest location before arrival

• leave parking and vehicle space close to property for the van and equipment

• secure pets and keep children away from work area during and after treatment

• advise if property rules require permits for ladders, scaffolding or works at height

• provide photos of the nest beforehand where possible to speed diagnosis and quote
