Scope of Works

• inspect affected area to locate source of infestation

• remove maggot-infested material and any carcasses using sealed bags

• clean and treat surfaces with approved biocidal products to kill larvae and eggs

• bag, double-seal and dispose of contaminated waste to a compliant waste stream

• deodorise and apply follow-up measures to reduce risk of re-infestation

• wear PPE and contain contamination; advise on hygiene and any required follow-up visits

Most domestic clearances take 1–4 hours on site; heavy infestations, hidden sources or multiple rooms can extend to a full day or require repeat visits.

• are you licensed and insured for biohazard work?

• what treatment products will you use and are they safe for pets and fabrics?

• how do you dispose of contaminated material and will I receive waste receipts?

• will you take photos and provide a written report or follow-up advice?

• do you offer a guarantee or return visit if maggots reappear?

• what PPE and containment measures will you use on site?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access to the affected rooms and remove food, dishes and toys

• park close to property or confirm a loading spot for waste bags

• secure pets and inform neighbours if doors or windows will be opened

• take photos of the area beforehand and note suspicious smells or sightings

• check building rules for disposal or restrictions in flats and communal areas
