Scope of Works

• Measure each glass panel and record orientation and access constraints

• inspect glass condition and seals and advise if replacement is needed before tinting

• deep-clean and decontaminate glass surfaces to ensure film adhesion

• cut and apply solar/privacy film to panels, squeegee out moisture and trim edges

• use a heat gun or specialist tools for curved or roof panels and to ensure a flat finish

• final inspection, remove waste, advise on cure time and any temporary cleaning restrictions

Small single garden window or skylight 30–90 minutes; conservatory or multiple panels 2–6 hours; large roof or multi-storey jobs 1–2 days. factors that extend time include number of panes, difficult access, weather and need for scaffolding

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• have you installed film on conservatories/greenhouses or roof panels before

• what film brand and specification do you use (uv reduction, light transmission, warranty)

• is the film applied internally or externally and how does that affect longevity

• what warranty covers adhesion, bubbling and fading and is removal included

• will you need scaffolding or a cherry picker and who arranges/charges for that

• how soon after fitting can I clean the glass and are there any special aftercare steps

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access around the glass, move pots, furniture and remove curtains where possible

• reserve a nearby parking space and tell the installer about narrow drives or gated access

• check for damaged seals or existing condensation and flag these before booking

• confirm weather-dependent timings for external installs and have a dry day window

• advise about pets, children and access to neighbours if scaffolding or external work is needed
