Scope of Works

• General dusting and wiping of surfaces including skirtings and window sills

• Vacuuming and mopping of floors and spot treatment of stains

• Kitchen wipe down, degrease of hob and worktops, clean sink and external appliance surfaces

• Bathroom cleaning including descaling and disinfecting of bath, shower, toilet, tiles and mirrors

• Bagging of small amounts of rubbish and leaving recycling ready for collection

• Use of PPE and standard cleaning products supplied by the cleaner unless otherwise agreed

Typical duration 1–4 hours for a standard clean in a 1–2 bedroom home; single-room or quick cleans 30 minutes–1.5 hours; heavy soiling, required extras (oven, carpets) or restricted access can extend the visit and may require a follow-up or extra charges

• Do you supply materials and are they included in the quote

• What extras are not covered (oven clean, carpet shampoo, heavy rubbish) and how are they charged

• How many cleaners will attend and what time window should I expect

• Do you have references or reviews for similar jobs in my area

• What is your cancellation policy and accepted payment methods

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access and parking details in advance

• secure or remove fragile and valuable items before the visit

• let the cleaner know about pets and any access instructions or building rules

• confirm whether you need oven, fridge interior or carpet shampooing booked as extras

• check who provides cleaning supplies and whether any hazardous product preferences are needed
