Scope of Works

• carry out a room-by-room deep clean of a flat including kitchen, bathroom, living areas and bedrooms

• degrease and sanitise kitchen surfaces; internal oven cleaning only if booked as an extra

• descale and disinfect bathroom fixtures, clean grout and tiles

• vacuum and mop floors, clean skirting boards, dust high and low and move small furniture for access

• remove rubbish and empty bins (small domestic waste) and bag for disposal

• spot-treat upholstery and carpets and flag items that need specialist steam cleaning as extras

Most flat deep cleans take 2–6 hours for a 1–3 bed flat; extremely soiled properties, large declutters or added services (oven, mattress or carpet steam) can take a full day. Restricted access, stair carries or waiting for concierge can also extend time

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you bring your own cleaning products and are any supplied items charged extra

• do you charge per hour or offer a fixed price for a full flat deep clean

• will you need access to water and power and are there any surfaces or items you will not clean

• do you offer oven, mattress or carpet steam cleaning as extras and what do they cost

• are you insured and do you carry public liability and contents protection

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear fragile items and personal paperwork from surfaces before arrival

• confirm access arrangements (fob/concierge, keys) and any stairs or lift restrictions

• tell the cleaner about pets, allergies or strong odours and provide ventilation if possible

• agree in advance which extras are included (oven, windows, upholstery) and a likely total cost

• ensure parking or unloading space near the building and advise of any permits or loading bays
