Scope of Works

• vacuum floors and mop hard floors in main living areas and corridors

• clean and sanitise bathrooms including toilets, sinks, baths and showers

• clean kitchen surfaces, wipe appliance exteriors and clean sink and worktops

• dust and wipe reachable surfaces (skirting boards, window sills, light fittings)

• empty bins, replace liners and remove small rubbish to your household bin

• spot‑clean mirrors and interior glass and flag stains that need specialist treatment

• bring basic cleaning materials and PPE; note specialist treatments (oven, carpets) are extra

Most regular visits take 1–3 hours depending on bungalow size and frequency of cleaning. Factors that extend time include heavy dirt or clutter, pets, one‑off deep cleans (oven, carpets), hard‑to‑reach areas and limited access; cleaners will use PPE for hygiene tasks and may need hot water and electricity

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• how long will you estimate for my bungalow based on rooms and frequency

• are cleaning materials and equipment included in the price

• do you have public liability insurance and are staff DBS checked for in‑home work

• what extras trigger additional charges (oven, windows, carpets, heavy rubbish)

• what is your cancellation and minimum‑charge policy

• do you follow a contamination protocol for pet mess or biohazards and use appropriate PPE

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear clutter and valuables from surfaces and floors so cleaners can work efficiently

• reserve a parking space near the bungalow or tell the cleaner about permits and restrictions

• secure or remove pets and let the cleaner know of any aggressive or nervous animals

• point out surfaces that need special products or that you prefer not to be treated with chemicals

• confirm access details, entry codes or key arrangements and ensure hot water/electricity is available

• discuss disposal of any large items in advance and agree additional charges if required
