Scope of Works

• Mow lawn to a consistent height using a rotary or cylinder mower

• Strim edges, paths and around obstacles

• Collect and bag or mulch clippings as agreed

• Clear leaves and light debris from lawn and paths

• Check and report hazards such as glass, stones or animal fouling

• Operatives use PPE (gloves, eye protection) and follow safe working practices

Small city back gardens typically take 30–45 minutes per fortnightly visit; medium gardens take 45–90 minutes. Wet or very long grass, steep slopes, narrow access or added tasks (edging, hedge trim) will extend the time on site

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you include green waste removal in the price or charge extra?

• Is pricing per visit, per hour or do you offer a fortnightly contract rate?

• Do you bring your own equipment and can you use customer equipment if provided?

• What is your policy if weather prevents the scheduled cut — will you reschedule or charge?

• Are you insured for public liability and for working on sloped or uneven lawns?

• Can you provide references or photos of similar fortnightly gardens you maintain?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Give clear access instructions and a place to park a small van

• Point out hazards: ponds, irrigation pipes, garden lighting and children’s toys

• Agree whether clippings are bagged and left for your council or taken away

• Secure or advise about pets and keep children away during the cut

• Tell the tradie about boundary issues or shared access with neighbours
