Scope of Works

• Inspect and measure existing cabinet carcasses, hinge positions and door reveals

• remove existing doors, hinges and handles and label parts for reassembly

• trim or route new doors to fit, cut hinge mortices and pilot holes

• fit hinges, adjust door alignment and set even gaps using shims where needed

• fit handles, catches or soft‑close mechanisms and check operation

• touch up paint or edge trims, clean workspace and remove old doors if requested

Typically 1–3 hours for a single run of 2–4 standard cupboard doors; larger kitchens, custom doors or spray finishing can extend work to 3–8 hours or 1–2 days depending on drying and site access

• do you supply doors and fittings or should i buy them beforehand?

• how do you charge — per door, per hour or a fixed quote?

• will you need to remove the carcasses or can doors be fitted in situ?

• what guarantee do you offer on labour and the fittings you install?

• will you protect surfaces and use PPE, and do you include site cleaning in the price?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear work area and remove crockery or items from inside cupboards

• confirm parking and a drop‑off point for materials near the property

• advise the tradie of narrow access, stairs or communal areas before booking

• have measurements or sample doors to hand so the quote includes accurate material costs

• check building rules or communal notices for working hours and access permits
