Scope of Works

• clear and remove turf, plants and surface debris from the shed footprint

• excavate and level area to required depth and form any falls for drainage

• compact subsoil and install geotextile membrane if specified

• supply, spread and compact hardcore, sharp sand or concrete pads as agreed

• set out and level timber bearers, concrete slabs or sleeper base to square the shed

• remove arisings and leave site tidy (disposal charged separately)

Typically 2–6 hours for a standard 6×4 shed base with one or two operatives; larger bases, sloping ground, poor access or concrete pours can extend work to 1–2 days

• do you include waste removal or is that charged separately

• what base type do you recommend for my shed size and the soil on site

• will you compact to a specific spec and provide a short guarantee

• do you need vehicle or plant access and how much clear working space is required

• are there extra charges for sloping sites, drainage or locating buried services

• can you show insurance and public liability details before work starts

• mark known underground services and tell the tradie about drains or cables

• agree the exact shed footprint and finished level before work starts

• secure pets and remove obstructions from the working area
