Scope of Works

• inspect scooter and run diagnostics to identify faults

• test battery health and charger performance for electric scooters

• check and adjust brakes and brake fluid or pads

• inspect and repair or replace tyres and inner tubes

• examine wiring, connectors, controller and ignition/throttle systems

• replace consumables such as bulbs, fuses and cables and fit agreed parts

• perform road or workshop test after repair and provide written report and follow‑up quote for further works

Most diagnostics and minor repairs take 30 minutes–2 hours; battery or motor replacement and ordering specialist parts can extend this to 1–3 hours

• Do you have experience with my scooter make and model and can you show examples?

• Will you carry common spare parts like inner tubes, brake pads and bulbs?

• How will you handle battery replacement and disposal, and what warranties apply?

• Do you offer a written estimate before fitting parts and a clear cost breakdown?

• What safety precautions do you take for high‑voltage electrics and petrol systems?

• How long will the repair warranty last and what does it cover?

How to Avoid Surprises

• make scooter accessible and remove locks or chains

• leave key and any pairing or app info for electronic throttles

• ensure battery is charged where possible or note if flat

• check parking access for mechanic van and give clear directions

• tell tradie about past faults, recent repairs and any damage history
