Armchair Assembly Guide

Scope of Works

• Arrive with basic hand-/power tools and check all parts against the packing list.

• Protect flooring and unpack components; remove transit fittings and packaging.

• Bolt or cam-lock the seat frame; square and tighten to manufacturer torque.

• Fix arms, backrest and any leg or swivel base units; add felt pads if required.

• Fit cushions, test stability, level and wobble check; tidy site and take away packaging if agreed.

• Provide brief hand-over on care instructions and confirm warranty on workmanship.

Time on Site

30 – 90 minutes is normal. Longer if the chair is oversized, has reclining/swivel mechanisms, parts are missing, or the room is cramped.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

1. Is your call-out charge deducted from the final bill?

2. Do you carry public-liability insurance covering accidental damage?

3. Will you remove all packaging and recycle it?

4. What guarantee do you give on your assembly work?

5. Can you supply felt pads or anti-tip straps if I need them?

6. Is there an extra fee for evening or weekend appointments?

7. Do you require on-street parking or a lift for upper-floor delivery?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Access: Measure doorways & stairs; clear a 1 m path to the room.

• Parking: Reserve a bay or arrange visitor permit if street is restricted.

• Work area: Lay a rug or sheet to protect floors; keep pets & kids out.

• Lighting & power: Ensure good light and a nearby socket for low-torque driver.

• Warranty: Keep purchase receipt and instruction booklet on hand.
