Scope of Works

• Inspect underside and joint to identify loose fittings, cracks or split timber

• tighten or replace screws, bolts or mounting plates and re‑secure joints with glue and dowels where needed

• fit a new replacement leg or mounting bracket if the original is broken and source a close match where possible

• level the table and adjust feet or fit felt pads to prevent rocking

• minor finish work: stain or touch‑up to blend repairs (full refinishing quoted separately)

• clear up debris, vacuum wood dust and dispose of broken parts; technician will use PPE when cutting or sanding wood

Most simple repairs take 0.5–2 hours on site; replacing and matching a new leg with staining or drying time can take 2–4 hours or require a return visit

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you have experience repairing this table type or timber species

• what warranty do you offer on the repair and any replaced parts

• can you source a matching leg or do you make one and how long will that take

• will the table need to be moved or the top removed and do you provide labour for that

• do you charge for travel, call‑out or disposal separately and what extras might apply

• are you insured for accidental damage and public liability in my home or building

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear the table of items and clear access around it

• reserve parking or let the tradie know parking restrictions to avoid travel surcharges

• mention communal building rules or access lifts if the table is in a flat

• check whether matching parts or finishes are required and allow time for ordering or colour‑matching

• keep pets away during the repair and provide a well‑ventilated area if staining is needed
