Scope of Works

• Remove existing fabric, cushions and trim for assessment

• inspect frame, springs and webbing and report any structural repairs needed

• replace or top up foam and padding to agreed specification

• cut and fit new fabric, add piping or decorative trims where specified

• reassemble and secure upholstery, finish edges and perform quality check

• advise on fabric care, warranties and any further work required

Most single chairs can be handled in 2–5 hours on site or in a workshop drop-off; sofas are usually stripped and worked on in a workshop over 1–3 days; unexpected frame repairs add time

• can you provide examples of similar pieces you have reupholstered and references

• what is included in the price and what might be charged as an extra

• how do you handle hazardous materials, dust control and do you use PPE when working on-site

• what lead times apply for fabric orders and can you supply swatches before work starts

• do you offer a guarantee and how are repairs covered after completion

• arrange parking or permit details for the tradesperson and vehicle

• check fabric availability and lead times before booking start date

• remove fragile items and clear surrounding area to speed work and reduce damage risk

• confirm disposal options for old foam and fabric and any extra charges

• let the tradie know about pets, smoke odour or insect damage before arrival
