Scope of Works

• Attend the agreed address with a suitable van and one or two team members depending on load

• Check items and confirm which pieces are to be collected and note any existing damage

• Protect floors and doorways and wrap furniture with moving blankets for transit

• Dismantle and reassemble items where safe and agreed (may be charged extra)

• Load, secure and transport items to your requested address, storage facility or disposal point if arranged

Time on Site

Most single-item collections take 30–60 minutes on site; a small flat load usually takes 1–2 hours. Time increases with stairs or long carries, dismantling, narrow doorways, the need for a second operative, or waiting for loading bays and traffic

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• What exactly is included in the quote and what will trigger extra charges

• How many people and what size vehicle will attend for this job

• Will you dismantle and reassemble items and is that charged separately

• Are parking, congestion charges or loading bay permits included or extra

• Do you have public liability insurance and can you supply references or ID for the crew

• What is your cancellation and waiting time policy

How to Avoid Surprises

• Measure doorways, stair widths and lift sizes and share dimensions with the crew

• Reserve parking or a loading bay and tell the tradie about permits or restrictions

• Clear routes of small items and secure pets before the crew arrives

• Tell the tradie about weight, condition and any glass or electrical parts in the item

• Agree a time window, payment method and request a receipt on collection
