Most single mattress or small bed removals take 30–90 minutes; disassembly, narrow access or multiple items typically extend this to 1–3 hours. Factors that extend time include flights of stairs, very narrow doorways, cutting down frames, long carry to the vehicle and waiting for building access

• Clear access and a parking space close to the entrance

• Measure doorways, lifts and stairwells before hire

• Remove bedding and personal items from the mattress before collection

• Advise the trader about soiled or pest‑infested items as extra charges may apply

• Check communal or building rules for large‑item removals and book any required permits
