Scope of Works

• Assess & isolate existing cabling and power feed.

• Remove dish, LNB arm, bracketry and wall/roof fixings using ladders or access tower.

• Seal or cap cable entry holes and fill rawl‑plug points to keep the envelope weather‑tight.

• Trim or pull back redundant coax cables to the nearest internal junction.

• Make‑good render, pointing or tiles where fixings were taken out.

• Transport & recycle the dish, arm and cabling at a licensed metal facility.

• Provide waste‑transfer note or photo evidence of disposal on request.

Always obtain a written, fixed‑price quote for your specific property.

Time on Site

30 – 90 minutes for a single dish. Longer if:

• Dish is on a chimney or three‑storey gable.

• Brickwork needs extra patching or painting.

• Severe weather delays safe ladder use.

• Multiple dishes/cables are being stripped out.
  

Questions to Ask Your Trade

1. Do you carry working‑at‑height insurance and PASMA/ladder certification?

2. Will you make good all fixing holes and cable entry points?

3. Is access equipment (tower or scaffold) included in the quote?

4. How will you dispose of the dish and supply proof of recycling?

5. Can you remove or tidy any redundant cabling inside the loft?

6. What happens if you find damaged render or tiles behind the bracket?

7. How soon after removal can I paint or treat the patched area?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Confirm parking & ladder set‑up space in advance.

• Highlight roof height & pitch; send photos for accurate quoting.

• Check permits if scaffold or cherry‑picker will obstruct the pavement.

• Advise on live TV/Internet cables nearby to prevent accidental disconnection.

• Book off‑peak times if your road is busy to avoid traffic‑management fees.
