Scope of Works

• collect and remove mattresses and bulky household rubbish

• assess items for reuse or recycling and separate accordingly

• carry items from agreed access point to vehicle — extra for long carries or flights of stairs

• provide and complete a waste transfer note for legal disposal

• contain and double‑bag contaminated or bedbug‑infested mattresses and use licensed disposal routes

• use PPE and basic drop‑sheeting to reduce contamination risk

Time on Site

Most single‑mattress or small flat clearances take 30–60 minutes; larger loads or multi‑room clearances typically take 1–3 hours. Stairs, tight access, multiple mattresses or suspected contamination increase time and may require extra operatives

• do you provide a waste transfer note and can i have a copy?

• how do you price — per item, per load or by time?

• are mattress uplift and disposal included in the quote or charged extra?

• do you have public liability insurance and a licence to transport waste?

• how do you handle contaminated or bedbug‑infested mattresses?

• will you need parking, permits or vehicle access close to the property?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear a continuous access route and remove narrow obstacles

• reserve parking or a loading bay close to the property

• tell the trader about stairs, lifts or long carries in advance

• declare suspected infestation or hazardous items before hire

• keep a list or photos of items to be collected
