Scope of Works

• clear leaves, litter and loose debris from front garden, paths and entrance

• clean paved areas and external steps and report stubborn staining that needs further work

• trim and shape low hedges and prune overhanging shrubs to improve sightlines and access

• remove weeds from beds, cracks and path edges and treat recurring growth if agreed

• make minor adjustments to loose paving and fix small trip hazards where safe to do so

• remove and dispose of green waste or load for council collection (disposal charged separately)

Most front and navigation tidy ups take 1–4 hours on site for a typical terraced or semi‑detached property; larger or overgrown fronts, hard landscaping or any work requiring working at height can extend this to a full day or more. Weather, access and waste‑collection timing are common causes of delay

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you have public liability insurance and can you provide a copy or policy number

• what is included in the price, for example materials, waste removal and working‑at‑height costs

• will you need access to water or electricity and do you need parking close to the front

• do you expect to need scaffolding, a cherry‑picker or traffic management for kerbside work

• how will green waste be handled and what are the disposal charges if any

• can you give a written quote with start date, estimated duration and payment terms

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access to the front and paths by moving cars and large items

• point out fragile features such as boundary walls, gates, ornamental paving and underground services

• reserve a parking space close to the property or confirm where the tradesperson can safely park

• secure pets and keep children away from the work area

• confirm use of PPE and safe handling of mouldy or contaminated green waste

• agree waste removal, parking or permit costs in advance and confirm who is responsible for disposal
