Scope of Works

Typical removal or return of a double bed and mattress takes 30–90 minutes on site for a standard property; allow 1–3 hours total including travel for larger properties or if dismantling and reassembly are needed. Factors that extend time include stairs, tight corridors, parking distance, lift restrictions and slow access permissions.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you provide two movers for a double mattress and is that included in the quote?

• Will you dismantle and reassemble the bed frame and label fixings on return?

• Do you include protective covers and floor protection or is that charged extra?

• What is your cancellation or change policy and how long can you hold a return slot?

• Do you charge an uplift disposal fee for mattresses and will you provide a waste transfer note?

• Do you have insurance that covers damage during removal, transport and storage?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Measure door widths, stair turns and lift sizes and share photos with the trader

• Book a parking space near the entrance and inform building managers of vehicle arrival

• Clear pathways and remove obstacles on the day

• Mention any building rules, restricted hours or concierge access requirements

• Keep pets secure and remove bedding or linen from the mattress before collection
