Scope of Works

• Inspect wardrobe type, location and access to confirm removal method

• safely dismantle fitted or freestanding wardrobes into transportable sections

• remove wardrobe from property and load onto vehicle, protecting floors and finishes

• transport to tip/charity or arrange bulky waste collection or skip as agreed

• tidy the work area and dispose of small debris; provide receipts for disposal if requested

• use PPE and follow contamination controls if there is mould, pests or significant dust

Most freestanding wardrobe removals take 30 minutes–1 hour on site. Built-in or large wardrobes, multiple units, narrow staircases or required dismantling typically extend the job to 2–4 hours or longer

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you charge a fixed price or by the hour and what does that include

• do you include dismantling, tip fees or bulky waste collection in the quote

• are you insured for damage and public liability and can you show evidence

• how will you protect floors, doors and communal areas during removal

• do you need parking/low-loader access or any permits for the vehicle

• can you provide a disposal receipt or certificate for waste tracking

How to Avoid Surprises

• measure doorways, corridors and stair widths and tell the tradie about tight corners

• check parking or loading space and arrange permits if needed

• remove valuables and loose items from the wardrobe before arrival

• tell the tradie about mould, pests or water damage so they bring appropriate PPE

• agree disposal method and whether you want donation, council collection or commercial disposal
