Scope of Works

• Confirm waste types & volume – weigh‑estimate or measure cubic yards, note any restricted items.

• Load waste from kerbside, drive or indoors into van/skip; supply protective sheets if needed.

• Segregate on‑board (wood, metal, rubble, general) to maximise recycling rebate.

• Transport to licensed facility – weighbridge ticket logged; divert recyclable fractions from landfill.

• Sweep & tidy collection area, issue waste‑transfer note with carrier licence number.

• Optional extras – top‑floor carry‑downs, wait‑and‑load in permit‑restricted streets, asbestos testing.

• Up to 1 hour: sorting indoor rooms, carrying from upper floors, bagging loose rubble.

1. Are you a licensed waste carrier and will I receive a transfer note?

2. Is pricing by weight, volume or load size, and what counts as a full load?

3. What surcharge applies for stairs, long carry distances or evening slots?

4. Do you recycle mixed waste and can you provide evidence of diversion rates?

5. Is skip hire or council permit required, and who arranges it?

6. How soon can you collect and what is your arrival window?

7. What items are excluded or extra‑charge (asbestos, tyres, plasterboard)?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Sort waste into recyclables and refuse; keep hazardous items separate.

• Photograph the pile and send dimensions for an accurate quote.

• Reserve parking close to the waste to cut loading time.
