Scope of Works

• Load and remove sofa from property

• Disassemble sofa where required to get through doors or down stairs

• Protect floors and walls during carry using covers and ratchet straps

• Transport to a licensed disposal facility, recycling centre or charity partner

• Provide a waste transfer note and take payment on completion if requested

• Handle contaminated items (mould, pests, strong odours) with PPE and sealed wrapping

Typically 20–60 minutes on site for a single sofa; 1–3 hours for multiple items or difficult access. Timing extends with stairs, narrow doorways, lift booking requirements, disassembly needs or long parking walks

• Do you bring a two-man crew for sofas and is that included in the price

• Can you provide a waste transfer note or disposal receipt

• Are there extra charges for stairs, long carry or narrow access

• How do you handle contaminated items and will you charge extra

• Do you have public liability insurance and a licence for waste carriage

• What payment methods do you accept and is payment on completion required

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear a path to the sofa and remove breakables from the route

• Confirm parking or loading bay availability close to the property

• Tell the tradie about stairs, narrow doorways, lifts or gated access in advance

• Let them know about stains, mould or pest signs so PPE and disposal can be planned

• Check building rules or estate management restrictions for bulky-item removals

• Ask for an itemised quote and confirm whether VAT and disposal fees are included
