Scope of Works

• Clear rooms of furniture, personal items and general household rubbish

• Sort items into keep, donate, recycle and landfill loads

• Dismantle and disconnect free‑standing furniture and light fittings where safe

• Remove white goods and bulky items using two people where needed

• Separate hazardous materials (paint, batteries, solvents) for compliant disposal and use PPE

• Sweep, load van or skip and provide disposal receipts on request

Small flat clearance 2–4 hours; 2–3 bed house 4–8 hours; whole house 1–3 days depending on volume and number of operatives. Expect longer on narrow access, many flights of stairs, extensive sorting or hazardous materials

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Are you insured for house clearance (public liability and employers') and can I see certificates?

• Do you provide waste transfer notes and receipts for disposal?

• How many crew will attend and do you bring a van or skip?

• What do you charge for bulky items, hazardous materials or stair removals?

• Can you give a written quote with VAT included and an expected total range?

• Do you need special access, parking permits or a key on the day?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Reserve parking or a loading bay close to the property

• Label or remove anything you want kept and point it out on arrival

• Tell the crew about asbestos, sharps, clinical waste, mould or pest issues

• Arrange access times and provide a contact number for the day

• Expect higher charges for narrow access, many stairs or late changes
